Tamarindo

This is a beautiful beach with golden sand and turquoise waters, a true tropical paradise. It has received the Blue Flag award for its commitment to the environment.

It’s one of the most visited beaches and is very popular with surfers. In addition to surfing, you can scuba dive, snorkel, or fish.

The sunsets are spectacular.

2. Conchal

This beach is very beautiful. The sand is made of shells, which give it a very special shine.

3. Flamingo

This soft, white-sand beach is anything but boring.

It’s perfect for swimming because it doesn’t have strong waves. You can book all kinds of activities, including sea fishing, diving, snorkeling, kayaking, and even a sunset cruise.

The waves are gentle and the water is clear, making it easy to spot marine life. And to relax, you can visit the Coco Loco restaurant right in front of the beach.

4. Playa Grande

This is a favorite beach for surfers, and its waves are world-famous.

You can also see hundreds of turtles that come to this beach to lay their eggs (from October to May).

5. Samara Beach

This beach is very family-friendly. The waters are safe, and its 4 km stretch offers plenty of room for everyone.

It has a mangrove area and an impressive coral reef area, and has received the Blue Flag award for its commitment to the environment.

You can surf, fish, snorkel, or scuba dive.

6. Nosara Beach and Guiones Beach

This area is very popular with surfers (especially Guiones Beach).

The waves are strong, so it’s best to be cautious if you surf there.

The Nosara area is very popular for its wellness and yoga centers. You can also go horseback riding or take boat rides through the estuary.

Fuente: www.guiadeviajeacostarica.com/guanacaste/

Guanacaste has some of the most beautiful beaches in the country… and possibly the world. 1.
